I struggled to find the right photos to illustrate the right aesthetic I was after with this technique. Reclaimed wood walls can add so much character and warmth to a space. It can look too crafty or too “lost in the woods” though if it’s not done with strong modern contrasts. Salvaged wood tells a story all its own and works best when it’s showcased with simple lines. I love how the spotlights shines just on the wood in the image below.
