Who knew I would be so inspired by a cheese grater. Turn that cheese grater into a fabulous chandelier and I am stopping in the middle of the sidewalk to properly ogle the masterpiece.  I spotted this wonderful reuse design at a cute little gourmet grilled cheese restaurant on the Lower East Side, Little Muenster. I had heard fabulous things about this place regarding their food, the design though was a delightful surprise.

The re-purposed lighting trend is really taking off is many other forms too. Grouping small colorful plastic bottles together creates a fun piece, the cut glass from decanters reflects beautifully in an intimate space, and smaller burned-out light bulbs attached to an updated LED light creates a star lamp.
